Mack Dryden worked for Tolbert’s Chili Parlor and Restaurant  in Dallas, Texas back in the late 1970’s.  Mack served more than his fair share of Red as well as a cold Lone Star or two along the way!  He worked for Frank X. and the Tolbert family and never forgot how much he loved the chili – and the Tolbert’s.

Mack became the official licensee for Tolbert's and created RedTex Foods, LLC. Mack along with Hap Herndon and Danny Meisenheimer joined forces to become the three founders of RedTex, with one simple mission - introduce the world to true Texas chili!
